KNOW YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE
Systolic
The top number, which is also the higher of the two numbers, measures the pressure in the arteries when the heart beats (when the heart muscle contracts).
Diastolic
The bottom number, which is also the lower of the two numbers, measures the pressure in the arteries between heartbeats (when the heart muscle is resting between beats and refilling with blood).
For a normal reading it should be less than 120 over 80
TAKE HALF AN ASPIRIN DAILY
Research has shown that if you take 325 milligrams a day, this helps to prevent strokes, heart attacks and cancer in women.
FLOSS AND BRUSH
Any chronic infection stimulates your body to protect against bleeding and increase clotting and this is a cause for heart attacks. so flossing and brushing your teeth is not only beneficial for your teeth, but also for your health. You must use toothpaste with floride.
EAT FISH THREE TIMES A WEEK
Fish is a high-protein, low-fat food that provides a range of health benefits. White-fleshed fish, in particular, is lower in fat than any other source of animal protein, and oily fish are high in omega-3 fatty acids, or the “good” fats. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, dailyif you can’t eat fish 3 times a week.
WALK 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY
Push play 30 minutes a day, if you don’t use those muscles you will lose them. Make sure you do an exercise you enjoy, walking, golfing, tennis, fishing and if you have a spare 30 minutes a day it’s a good time to relax and meditate or do some yoga.
GET AT LEAST SEVEN HOURS OF SLEEP
You need a minimum of 7 hours a night and men actually need 8. If your body doesn’t get sufficient rest you have an increased risk of obesity and diabetes.Your body needs time to restore.
AVOID SECOND HAND SMOKE
Secondhand smoke is serious business, and should be a concern for anyone who breathes it in. Non-smokers inhaling secondhand smoke share some of the health risks smokers face. But smokers do face the worst of it – the risks of smoking are compounded by breathing cigarette smoke in for a second time.
LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS
Avoid extra stress and keep control of your financial situation. If you can’t afford it, don’t get it. Put the credit cards away and pay cash for everything.
